TIKA Renovates and Inaugurates Schools in Kunduz Province, Afghanistan

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has successfully completed the renovation and repair works of two schools in the Kale-i Zal district of Afghanistan's Kunduz province and celebrated their reopening with a special ceremony.

Enhancing Educational Infrastructure

As part of the project, the schools' roofs have been replaced, classrooms have undergone interior and exterior repairs including painting and plastering, and doors and windows have been fixed to ensure a conducive learning environment.

Improving Learning Conditions

In addition to the structural improvements, suspended ceilings and fans have been installed to enhance air circulation within the classrooms, creating a more comfortable atmosphere for both students and teachers.

Empowering with Sustainable Solutions

To meet the schools' electricity needs, solar panels have been installed, while additional equipment has been provided to support the educational requirements of both students and teachers, empowering them with sustainable solutions.

Commitment to Education

During the inauguration ceremony, Kunduz education officials and TIKA representatives expressed their commitment to supporting education in Afghanistan, emphasizing the long-standing partnership between Türkiye, TIKA, and the Afghan people in promoting quality education.

Gratitude and Future Prospects

Kunduz's deputy director of National Education expressed gratitude towards TIKA and the Turkish people for their continuous support, highlighting the role of such projects in preparing the youth for a brighter future and fostering strong international bonds.

Ensuring Modern Learning Environments

TIKA's Mazar-i-Sharif Coordinator emphasized that the renovation of Halil Saadet Primary School and Martyr Abdul Samet Mahdum Secondary School has provided a safer and more modern educational setting for approximately 2,500 students, enhancing the overall quality of education in the region.

Community Commitment and Appreciation

Local residents and education authorities have pledged to uphold the upkeep of the schools' facilities and ensure the sustainability of educational standards, acknowledging the vital role of education in shaping a prosperous future.
