The Izmir State Turkic World Dance and Music Ensemble

The Izmir State Turkic World Dance and Music Ensemble is dedicated to showcasing the diverse cultural heritage of the Turkic world through vibrant performances of music and dances representing various regions.

Authentic Representation of Turkic Music and Dances

Established in 2008 under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the ensemble meticulously revives the authentic melodies and dances that define the essence of the Turkic world.

Rich Repertoire from Turkic World

The ensemble's extensive repertoire encompasses a wide array of dances and music originating from countries like Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, TRNC, as well as regions with significant Turkic populations.

Blend of Traditional and Anatolian Instruments

With a 25-member orchestra, the ensemble creates a mesmerizing musical fusion by combining traditional Turkic instruments such as dutar, balaban, dombra, kopuz, shaman drum, and shan kopuz with classical Anatolian musical instruments.

Visual Feast with Traditional Costumes

The ensemble's dancers, adorned in intricately designed traditional Turkic costumes that symbolize the cultural identity of each region, captivate the audience with a visual spectacle.

Preserving and Promoting Turkic Culture

The ensemble's performances include a diverse range of acts, such as the "Kırk Cigit" war dance, the Tuvan folk melody "Enesayım," the sword-and-shield dance from the "Köroğlu" epic, and the lively Azerbaijani folk dance "Reksi Ağ Çiçek."
