Turkey Introduces Licensed Sportspeople Training in Mind Games
Turkey is set to initiate a program aimed at training certified and licensed sportspeople in mind and intelligence games, according to an official announcement.
Licensing Procedure to Begin This Year
Turkey, which currently lacks licensed sportspeople, will kickstart the licensing process this year. Şaban Kurt, the President of the Federation of All Mind and Intelligence Games (TAZOF), disclosed that their annual competitions attract 1 to 2 million students. As a result, the federation plans to commence licensing activities in collaboration with clubs.
Significant Progress Made Since Federation's Inception
Established in 2017, the Federation has organized various competitions, reaching a substantial number of students. Kurt highlighted their use of games such as Eqilibrio, Q-bitz, mancala, pentago, kulami, and reversi to enhance children's cognitive skills like perception, attention, logic, and reasoning.
Enhancing Children's Cognitive Abilities
The primary goal is to raise awareness of mind and intellect games in Turkey. Kurt emphasized the growing demand for such activities and the positive impact they have on children's development. He stressed the benefits of these games in boosting cognitive functions and reasoning abilities.
Stimulating Cognitive Abilities Through Games
The federation aims to stimulate children's cognitive capacities and provide them with opportunities to improve their perception, attention, logic, and reasoning skills. Kurt encouraged students to participate in the competitions organized by the federation to benefit from these developmental opportunities.
National Tournament Scheduled in Kars
The seventh edition of Turkey's mind and intelligence games tournament is scheduled to take place on May 23-25 in the northeastern province of Kars. The event will provide participants with a platform to test their skills and compete in a supportive environment.
