Türk Telekom Invests in Renewable Energy with Solar Power Plant
One of Türkiye’s leading telecommunications and technology companies, Türk Telekom, has revealed its latest venture in renewable energy by announcing plans to construct a solar power plant that will cater to a significant portion of its annual energy requirements.
Agreement with TEIAŞ for Sivas Zara Solar Power Plant
Türk Telekom has entered into an "electricity transmission connection agreement" with the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAŞ) to facilitate the development of the Sivas Zara Solar Power Plant (SPP). The plant is expected to contribute 15% of Türk Telekom Group’s total annual electricity consumption upon completion.

Advancing Türkiye's Green Transformation Goals
The Sivas Zara SPP, characterized by its high capacity and eco-friendly design, is poised to generate around 200 million kWh of energy annually. This initiative not only fulfills Türk Telekom's energy needs but also contributes significantly to Türkiye's efforts towards sustainable development and green transformation.

Türk Telekom's sustainability strategy extends beyond solar power to include investments in wind energy and the integration of smart solutions driven by cutting-edge technologies like 5G, artificial intelligence, and IoT. These efforts are aimed at enhancing resource efficiency in various sectors such as transportation, public safety, and environmental conservation.
Expansion of Solar Power Installations
As part of its broader renewable energy agenda, Türk Telekom is set to complete additional solar power projects in two different cities, ultimately increasing the total SPP capacity to 405.8 MWe, with the Sivas Zara plant contributing 96 MWe to this goal.
