Nordex Group Receives Orders for 97 Wind Turbines from Türkiye
Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex Group announced on Tuesday that it has secured orders for 97 wind turbines from Türkiye, totaling a capacity of 638 megawatts (MW).
Multiyear Service Contracts Included in Purchase Agreement
The purchase agreement encompasses multiyear service contracts for the turbines, according to the statement released by the German company. Nordex Group shared that the orders were placed in the 4th quarter of 2024, with most of them coming in at the end of December.
Continued Support with Service Contracts
The 638 MW orders also involve service contracts that will span over several years, ensuring ongoing support and maintenance for the wind turbines, as highlighted by the company.
Nordex Group's Strong Performance in Türkiye
With the addition of these new orders, Nordex Group has now surpassed 1 gigawatt (GW) of new orders in Türkiye for the year 2024. The company emphasized its commitment to the Turkish market and its contribution to the country's renewable energy sector.

Türkiye has recently set ambitious targets to expand its wind and solar energy capacity significantly, aiming to reach 120,000 MW by 2035 in response to the growing electricity demand.
