Challenges Faced by Firefighters
Firefighters are contending with the Eaton Fire, which has consumed 10,600 acres in the foothills surrounding the city of Altadena, northeast of downtown Los Angeles. The fires remain uncontained as strong winds continue to fan the flames, causing burning embers to scatter through the air.
Multiple Fires Across Los Angeles
In addition to the major blazes, three smaller fires – the Hurst, Lidia, and Sunset fires – are also burning in various areas of Los Angeles.
Firefighting Efforts and Evacuations
