The roots of this relationship date back to the Ottoman Empire’s consulate in Geneva in 1898 and the establishment of an embassy in Bern in 1915.

As 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the Friendship Treaty signed in 1925, Ambassador Incesu announced plans for various commemorative activities to celebrate the centenary, aiming to highlight a century of friendship and cooperation while laying the foundation for future collaborations.
